its literally in the title of that video.

police radios work in frequencies that NFC sensors in most smartphones can capture, and just like using NFCs, you need to tap your phones onto the thing because the sensors range is about a few inches onky.

    no they don't lol.

just because the title of the video is that doesn't mean it makes any sense.

What the video title was getting at was he thought the old guy was trying to initiate an NFC pair between his phone and the officer's mobile phone, but that'd require NFC to be switched on on the officer's phone and I'm almost certain they're not allowed to carry phones when on an operation like that anyway.

this post explains what hes trying to do.

not sure of technical possibility tho.

    that guy is a retard.

if you wanted to be able to track someone's cell phone you'd use an 'IMSI catcher' or a fake cell tower nearby (ie. closer than the nearest cell tower, not in the victim's front pocket) to get their hardware IDs then track them through the cell company. You'd need access to the real towers to track them, meaning either the carrier is working with you (ie. police) or you're able to manipulate them into giving you that information.

you can't just creep up to someone's front window and scan the contents of someone's phone. it'd require that they had NFC/bluetooth/WLAN radios switched on and a very serious exploit allowing root access through the radio, which would be extremely valuable and generally not available to Dogg the Bounty Hunter and pals.

Maybe the guy was trying to get a close photo of an ID tag or something. Maybe he was just crazy.

Again though I'm not certain of police procedure but fairly sure they aren't allowed to carry their personal cellphones when on an operation like that so it really makes the point moot anyway

what i meant was according to the title of the video, the reason that man waved his phone around those officers was to capture their radio (walkie talkie) frequency in order to clone it.

whether its possible or not, im not sure,

whether hes crazy or not, he had to be i guess.

That's what I mean, phones operate on completely different radio frequencies to police radios even though the encryption scheme is similar.

Besides, if you wanted to listen in on police radio you could just use a scanner. If the police are using an encrypted system you could potentially try to crack it either by attacking the actual stream or by collecting handshake data, but in either case there's no benefit to getting that close to the radio.

That's why Trump's tweet seems so absurd; in all that's going on he chooses to attack an old man getting the bonk and making retarded technical claims he doesn't understand to 'prove' he deserved it
  10. Yeah I fucking hate hamburgers
  11. What I meant to say was that my post says that I hate hamburgers

I'm not actually sure if I hate hamburgers

    I have to, I guess

Well that old man was clearly up to no good. There was a tube attached to his inner ear oozing the fake blood.

dont NFC sensors on phones are capable of receiving it ?

idk. does the radios they have in their car linked to their body radios ? it seems to me like those they use to communicate between officers are different from the ones they have in their cars that link back to their station or something.

hes been parroting many tweets before. its normal thing for him to do. it'd be abnormal if he didnt parrot tweets that support his views on things.
  15. He didn't actually make the claim lol. He's been cautious. I think the post ended with "Conspiracy?" or something like that. Like how he asked if they could research IV disinfectants and UV lights in your blood.

was he just an "innocent" 75yr old man with no history of any political agenda? I guess we will just have to wait and see... what more "investigating" by CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, or FOX news produces-- on their platforms besides this clip.

thus far, this is all "i" could find about the old man... Martin Gugino reported by OAN. Definitely, some food for thought.
