    Non sequitur...

114,000 deaths is (approx) the reported deaths due to covid
328,000,000 is (apprx) the reported population of the USA

..again if you don't know how to work that out as a percentage you didn't take a basic math class let alone statistics...

.035% of the US population have died due to covid. NOT a concern.

Virus ain’t gone, it’s just getting started.

What I don't get, is when people started to listen to tons of crooked politicians on ALL SIDES, (Dem and Reps both) over the doctors and nurses in the thick of it.

Because all of the politicians all have tons of medical degrees??? and while the doctors are out playing golf, lounging around, fuckin off!!!

While the politicians are busy on the front lines, deep in the bowels of all the hospitals, in blood up to their shoulders, really gettin down and dirty with this shit, finding the REAL VACCINE... And healing all the sick... yeah, yeah, that's it....... yeah....

I'll raise an eyebrow when (if) it gets to 20%. I don't worry about sub 1% figures...that's just living scared. If you worried about that kind of stuff related to everything that could happen to you you'd never leave the house..and then probably slip in the bath and crack your head open.

Yeah, you haven't taken a statistics class lol. You are essentially just posting (an inaccurate) z-score made from insufficient data to begin with. This is why the CDC gave a range of up to 1% and mentioned the other death spikes that are not being attributed to the corona virus right now. You cannot just pull two numbers from a study, divide them, and believe that is accurate. Well, I mean I guess YOU can, but statisticians don't.

Besides the CDC already gave their z-score using different methods of calculation for the death rate, and it is 0.41%.. You do not do a simple division lmao.

So something has to have a 1/5 chance of you dying from it for you to consider it dangerous? You know getting shot only has a ~0.0001% mortality rate. Are you willing to shoot yourself as well? It's less deadly than corona I mean why not.

And I already stated that it's the leading cause of death in America. Worse than heart disease, cancer, and automobile accidents. Not to mention there is a huge spike in other types of deaths from April-June that were not attributed to corona. So even WITH those spikes (that are probably caused by the damage from corona) it is STILL the leading cause of death.

I don't know how much worse it has to get for you to think it's serious. Will you think it's serious at 200k? 300k? 500k?

He said, wake him up when it's 66,000,000.

but....... we might not be able to wake him up...................................................................!

yeah just like in 1918 when the spanish flu only killed 75,000 Americans in the first 6 months. Pussy shit, that Spanish flu!

Then by 1919 it had killed 675,000.

That's the power of exponential growth baby

    Not what I said no, I said I'm not concerned...not being concerned doesn't mean something isn't dangerous...comprehension.

Driving a car is dangerous...I'm not concerned about that either and do it everyday.

ETA: I doubt it would be dangerous to me as I'm not weak and 70...I fully expect to catch it at some point in the next 2 years and also expect a recovery when I do.

Why is it ok to call it the Spanish Flu but the liberal press get bent out of shape when Trump calls it the Chinese virus?

So tell me, do you take needless risks when driving? Switch lanes without looking, run red lights, etc?

Or do you take your precautions to ensure you don't get hurt.

what's sad, is, not only are all the plagues forgotten, but all the tragedies. Some say Hitler never happened now, and praise him like a god, and 9/11 is kinda forgotten, 10 more years and it will be, and there are some that say the earth is flat, and we never went to the moon...(but I saw it blast off and leave.... not a fucking studio to be seen.)

some want Mao Tse Tung back,, did they forget about one hundred million killed under his rule????

Fuckin people got sometimers. Not allshaaaaiemers or saltshakers, just sometimers... conveniently forgetting things to their own safe path.

    lolol

Because we live in the 21st century, not the 20th century. The Spanish Flu is just what it's known as. Chinese virus is not. Only Trump calls it that.

The Spanish called it the French flu I think. And I forget who called it the Italian flu. This was really common for pandemics back in the day.

Now we know better, but we can still refer to the terms historically used. There's no need for that kind of sensationalism in 2020 though. It was not okay back then and it is not okay now.

I take needless risks...pretty much everyone does, speeding etc.

But then I could take all the precautions in the world and it doesn't mean an 18 wheeler isn't got to wipe me out from behind at a red light...you must be a pedestrian.

To be fair to Mao, China was already in a shit state when he took power. It wasn't until Deng I think that the economy got opened up and people stopped starving. Which of course they attributed to the CCP and still idolize Mao even though he didn't really help the country and he ended up starting a civil war. If you want a laugh, go on Baidu and search for Chiang Kai-Shek, translate to English, then go on his Wikipedia page and look at the differences. Actually fuck it here you go:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiang_Kai-shek

    https://baike.baidu.com/item/%E5%B8%B8%E5%87%AF%E7%94%B3/6148080?fr=aladdin

    The propaganda is fucking STRONG.

But to your original point, yeah. Nobody really remembers this shit. Most people don't even know of Leopold II and he did probably some of the most heinous shit out of all these murderers. Killed about 10 million
