Yeah because people responded pretty quickly despite all the retarded bullshit. If they didn't, there would be millions dead not just FROM COVID but due to overloading health systems worldwide.

You are retarded if you think these statistics mean anything about the dangers/safety of this virus.

Reminder that the flu kills an average of 30,000 Americans in 12 months.

Corona has killed 100,000 in just 3 months. And numbers are not dropping.

Uh, no? Can you read? I'm just saying that those numbers are inconsequential. This disease causes lasting damage anyway even if you don't die from it, and the 'total infected percentage' only matters if you're playing Plague Inc. Nobody said this is going to kill us all. But it will end up killing millions and millions of people. I mean shit, in April the US only had 2,000 deaths. The exponential growth is INSANE and it would've been a lot worse had we not done the shitty job of shutting down that we did. Could've been a lot better too.

Best case scenario: We'll have 200-300k dead in the US by the end of the year.

The fact is that this is now the leading cause of death in America. Responsible for 60% of deaths. And you can see that we MAGICALLY had an increase in other types of death too that are NOT being included in those statistics. The lasting damage means you are more prone for stuff like heart attack.

Here are some statistics that actually matter:

Anybody who doesn't think this is serious at this point is flat out ignorant.

Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.

And the flu doesn't cause lasting damage either.

Not sure what your obsession with flu is...it's irrelevant to covid...there are plenty of other disease you could also cite...heart disease, cancer, etc etc..what's your obsession with flu all about?

But not relevant to the 0.35% of deaths in the US covid has caused or the fact 99.6% are covid free.

So that's all you have to say when faced with statistics that show this is deadlier than anything else going on right now? More deaths than heart disease and automobile accidents, and all you have to say is "stay scared?"

Wow you really proved me wrong. I guess I will stay scared by putting on a mask every day and going about my business.

Again 0.35%...isn't a concern to me no.

    Fucking lol.

How miserable it must be to live in fear.

When this started, that's what you said. "The flu is worse." I can dig up quotes if you'd like.

And I already stated that it's the leading cause of death in America. Worse than heart disease, cancer, and automobile accidents. Not to mention there is a huge spike in other types of deaths from April-June that were not attributed to corona. So even WITH those spikes (that are probably caused by the damage from corona) it is STILL the leading cause of death.

I don't know how much worse it has to get for you to think it's serious. Will you think it's serious at 200k? 300k? 500k?

    Fucking lol.

    WHO says 2-3%

    CDC says 0.2%-1%

IDK who gave the number you're referencing but it's wrong.

114,000 deaths out of a population of 328,000,000

    Sorry you don't know math.
