2020-06-10 at 1:04 AM UTCYukon Organic Goldens. I slice em thin, and either eat em raw, or fry em in a wok. add spices.
I wish I knew how they make the twice baked potatoes in QuarterMaster or VerdiMart in the French quarter. They're huge, and topped with everything. and so damn good at 03:00.
Sweet Potato Pie............. MAN I MISS THAT!!!! -

I don't but when they've been in the fridge for a few days they do start to taste kind of artificial/cinnamony almost. I had one today like that. I don't mind it. I like to eat them with pork and it pairs really well. -

Mexicans! That’s who! -
2020-06-10 at 1:10 AM UTCseriously.. raw... put some sea salt on em. It's all they need...try em. I eat em for lunch. Red new potatoes are good too, but goldens take it.
don't try this with russets or whites. still ok, but bitter. -

They're supposed to be toxic lol.

If they are green, yes, toxic. don't eat green hued potatoes. But fresh goldens are actually a good way to bring your body back to alkaline. Cancer cannot live in an alkaline body. Raw cabbage does the same... Slaw, with a little less dressing is a good example. and yes, I appreciate you trying it in my behalf. Goldens though. Others are more bitter. Goldens are also non-nightshade. I've eaten them raw all my life. -

I'm pretty sure you can't change the ph of your blood just by eating certain things. I could be wrong but I feel like the insane amounts of lemon juice i drink would've killed me otherwise. I drink like 10 limes squeezed at once sometimes. Usually when i find them 10 for a dollar.
The high vitamin c in raw potato makes for a good antioxidant tho. Almost as much as an orange! I'll look out for Goldens. I usually use russet because they hold moisture best. I gave a speech on potatoes in college and had all sorts of info to figure this out lol.
Chop n peel. Boiling water with generous baking soda for 12-15min. Mix in herbs and spices to get a mushy outside layer with hard inside. Bake. Turn accordingly. Keep baking. Etc. Eat.
With a good potato and proper mixing that outside layer will form a crunchy shell while still being moist and succulent inside.
Then I throw ground beef, cheese curds, and brown gravy on it for poutine. Or whatevrr you wanna mix it up with really. Cheddar, shredded pepperjack, mushrooms, avocado, salsa. Mmmm. -
