2017-02-25 at 4:39 PM UTCHe's a fireman and he used to tour with hemdale back in the late 90's a couple times and he's really good at playing grindcore but he always talks about him self, he's shown me how to play bass a lot beter so that is cool and I'll talk to him but he's a very serious guy, he even asked me about my other neighbor and his sister and I kinda felt weird so I told him I had to go was packing up my shit and walking out the door and he's still talking about the punk scene and darkthrone and I was like I know... man I know..

we've gone to drink before together and people know him, but they don't say much to him because they already know what to expect. I like people that play metal and are into guitars but he's just always "on" like "oh I'm here I can do everything and you can't"
but like I told him a few months ago that I saw slayer and anthrax and he got pissed about it lol, some peoples kids.. -

I think he's trying to incorporate everyone into the conversation and not just himself. if he "Even asked me about my other nieghbor and his sister" then he wasn't only talking about himself. don't let your feelings get in the way of someone who help mentor you in bass and facts of your well being. Music is to be something i want to identify with to calm me or place me in a good mood and not something like this I might play if I were to hang myself or go on some violent shooting spree if I was ever up for such a thing. .. i can relate to this in a certain way if I'm super pissed off.. but listening to this is not an escape from my rage being high enough to relate to this..but it's clearly related to deathcore vocals. everything evolves. -

I think it's just an empowering thing to the listeners though; music to make you feel indestructible (though I think there's better forms of empowerment than screaming about various sins with some dramatic angst/negative nihilism thrown in)
