I love astronomy but cannot stand astrology.
But ever go out and just look at the moon? And wonder about how this ball the size of the continental United States in diameter is literally floating in the sky because technical it's falling towards us but it's moving just fast enough to keep missing the ground? -

It always astounds me that someone figured that out as one of the keys to planetary motion.
