You know that voice in your head? Yeah. The voice in your head. The one that speaks your thoughts.
Apparently not everyone has it. I guess it's not that they don't think so much as they don't hear their own thoughts. It seems to be more... visual? What the fuck. I have never heard of this or considered it. I thought everybody had an internal voice. Do you guys have a voice in your head?
I don't hear voices in my head. thoughts are just ideas, outside of that it's hard to explain how to access them, I just do
typically when I write I I don't 'hear' things before, only after when I look over it to make sure I haven't fucked up
That is fucking baffling.
I 'hear' everything I think. It's in words. Before I write, as I'm writing, and after I write. I'll think the entire sentence through, as well as variations of it. It's like spelling it out in my head. The thoughts are obviously not audible like hallucinations but very clear and just as 'loud' as speaking.
Do you relate to the visual stuff mentioned at all?

I always assumed when people talked about 'internal monologue' it wasn't strictly literal. fucking lol.
Yeah it's weird. I've done some looking and it seems that both sides are absolutely baffled by the experience of the other side.
So like when you're writing a paper, you don't actually think of the words you're going to write before you write them? Because this entire post I have thought word for word in my head before being able to type it. I cannot just 'translate' my ideas into tangible words. I have experienced something kind of like that with nootropics though where ideas just 'came into existence' easier, if that makes sense. But normally it's like there's some kind of brain to word barrier or something.
Are you ever unable to think of a word? What does it feel like? Do you think of similar words that are like that word but not exact? That's what I usually do to remember a word.
I hear voices but two different kinds one where im talking to myself in my head and others where i hear cops saying tgeir going to kill me in a satanic voice saying woofy the crime dog is going to dine on my nuts

When I have to study Technical, survival, or certain military manuals, Aaron Eckhart, or Sean Bean's voices actually read them to me. Sometimes they stress a matter of importance, or they overlap a point, one speaking, then the other. Cracks me up sometimes, but it helps me retain everything.
Makes me wonder how they synthesize info and work out problems. Like if theyre looking at a test question, do they have to go “Two trains depart the station at exactly the same time traveling 60 mph....”?
