Even thoough you were a lurker in the early days, I'm glad you reached out. The foundation of TOTSE has split, like the handsome and well tanned individual infidels; into various sects. I am a glad that free discussion and shit posting happens but it is dull to say the least. I started TOTSE so that IDEAS could be shared. It is up to he/she that carries the torch of free speech that is truly the legacy holder. I don't wish we argue, or even there be a divide of opinion, but that as a community we can rejoin as one.
When I started TOTSE there was upto a million users and the knowledge we shared not only fulfilled, but cemented a community that lasted years. All I ask is that our libertarian philosophy is carried on so that this legacy lives in continiuum."

However, there are also text files on here that discuss politics; democratic, right wing, left wing, libertarian, communist, and everything in between, but this is not a political web site.
There are files on here that discuss Jesus Christ, Muhammed, Buddha, Crowley, John Smith, and "Bob", but this is not a religious web site.
There are files full of short stories, science fiction, humorous articles, and great works of literature, but this is not a literary web site.
There are files with information on rocketry, radio broadcasting, chemistry, electronics, genetics, and computers, but this is not a technical web site.
This web site is about INFORMATION. All sorts and all viewpoints. Some of the information you will agree with, some you will find shocking, and some you will probably disagree with violently. That is the whole point. In this society we go to schools where there is one right answer: The Teacher's. There is one acceptable version of events: The Television's. There is only one acceptable occupation: The pursuit of money. There is only one political choice to make: Republicrats (Or Demopublicans, if you prefer.)
On this web site you are expected to make decisions all by yourself. You get to decide who and what to agree with, and why. You get to hear new viewpoints that you may have never heard before. On this web site people exist without age, without skin color, without gender, without clothes, without nationality, without any of the visual cues we usually use to discredit or ignore people who are unlike ourselves. All of these things are stripped away and the ideas themselves are laid bare.
You will change. You will transform. You will learn. You will disagree.
You will enjoy it.

The problem is, when he started totse in 1989, there was nothing like it, it was the cutting edge technological feat of its time. A cheap platform for worldwide dissemination of information without editors or censors. Naturally, this attracted the most niche users with the best fuckin personalities ever and the other subforums brought plenty of more degenerate users to balance shit out.
But its 2020 now, webforums are all over the place now, normie retards dominate the clearnet. This is not where we belong anymore, it is no longer our turf.
A TOTSE 2.0 needs to be in 2019 what the old totse was in 1989, something new, something unique, something that's sci-fi shit today like totse was then when the normal way to do things was to have an anarchist club in a garage and run an anarchist newspaper press that could at best reach only 1000 people locally.
We need that "something new" for the totse community to join as one. The dark web is a good start. -
