PC FAGS WILL NEVER RECOVER

  1. #81
man this whole thing about graphics looking good; holy shit your eyeballs have the highest resolution you could get unless you fucked your eyes and need glasses.

Look outside the fucking window for once. When I was a teen I would also think about graphics changing out parts in my PC and shit but I was still a teen eh. These days I only replace my shit with other high end shit not because I care about graphics but because I can; higher end rigs simply for the lulz and to literally just use a web browser and microshit office products. Only replacing because the last rig I bought 10 yrs ago was just so good that it lasted 10 years (with some minor parts upgrades) and I just don't want the cpu or motherboard to go before I have a replacement.

Nigger when I was a teen the graphics looked 4k simply because I was smoking weed while playing. Fuck you need to jerk off to all this new shit for?

Who cares about graphics. How about making a non shitty game for once. Everything on console is trash and just comes out on PC eventually anyways so they can sell the game twice.

The only console I have is a switch because of the exclusives, and it has good games like Breath of the wild, Xenoblade and Animal crossing. They have nice graphics too.

getting firearm licenses is just like getting men with bigger penis than you to acknowledge your manhood.

its a brazen proclaimation that you're out gunned and therefore seek permission from those with bigger and badder guns than yours to let you keep and bear your little, harmless firearm.

It has decently low input lag (28 ms) to the point where I can still play online games and kick ass; not that that I have a whole lot of time to play a lot, but this is still something that I can do.

I was gonna buy the same projector to add to the living room but said projector is discontinued. Now they make the Epson Home Cinema 3800, which costs about as much as my current projector was, but this new one has 4k resolution. Don't really care about the resolution beyond 1080p, I mostly just like the specs of the projector itself, which are mostly the same, but with a better contrast ratio in the newer version.

Projectors are more complex than monitors or tvs, and so more research needs to be done on my part before I decide between the Epson Home Cinema 3800 and the Epson Home Cinema 5050UB. Need to research and compare before I pay, as one costs as much as my new rig that I'll get next month, and one costs half of what the new rig costs.

I rather enjoy using a projector instead of a monitor. I hurts my eyes a lot less, although I no longer spend long nights in front of a computer like I used to when I was younger, so who knows for sure. Still nice to have a pc project over an entire wall.

p.s. benq makes some slightly cheaper projectors that I believe are made for gaming in particular; might be something to look into for some of you.

Why? Nothing special about it even at the time; the PS2 especially ended up failing to live up to the tech demo as it was very weak, you can do anything ins controlled environment.

The most truly awesome hardware of that generation was the GameCube, and it had the best tech demo. Here it is rendered in 1080p with an emulator but otherwise running the unaltered so you can see how clean it was more clearly (best part start around 2:45):

Even today the effects displayed are the most commonly utilised graphics techniques, on top of which fancier stuff is added to augment visuals.

Rather than programmable shaders, GC had a few fixed function shaders but it focused on a versatile custom configurable TEV unit that generated a new optimal configuration for a particular scene on each load

Isn't that basically how eDRAM works? Last generation killed that paradigm because the needle landed on "lazy is good".

PS4 went in favour of a unified memory architecture with everything on GDDR4 precisely because it was lazier and "easier" while the original XBO retained ESRAM+DDR3 and got mad shit from indies etc due to it. So the redesigns switched to full GDDR5.

ps2 were announced much earlier than gamecube and after years and years of ps1, anything on ps2 looked much better anyway and it was the most advanced gaming equipment of that era, and surpassed most average PCs back then.

and in those days there werent such thing as 'gaming pc', just regular computers and good computers. at least where i lived.

and it was common consensus then that it was game makers of those days that failed to fully make use of playstations 'advanced' hardware.

SEGA Dreamcast was already announced and released in 1998 and had almost as good graphics (some DC games outstripped most shitty PS2 games due to developer competence like you noted).

That's probably true still. PS3 was the transition of leadership from SCEJapan to SCEAmerica finally because the japs cannot understand simple, robust hardware design. It was hard to use. The Xbox by comparison used off the shelf parts and was used to push DirectX specifically to appeal to easier development

due to its price its not very popular in 3rd world countries. which made it difficult to get it modded to play pirated discs.

that was why playstation won the console battle in shitholes.

sony had to be exclusive and proprietary due to competition with its fellow japanese competitors while microsoft had none.

had it been competing with RCA and IBM it surely would have had used proprietary parts.

Are you just pulling shit out of your asshole? Dreamcast notoriously had virtually nonexistent copy protection, you could literally just burn CDs and play, only difference was that it strained the laser in the disc reader. You didn't even need a chip. Its launch MSRP was $200 vs the PS2's $300.

Huh? What does that have to do with anything? Nintendo put IBM's PowerPC baaed Gekko in the GameCube rather than a retarded proprietary design.

not here. when it came out it was more expensive than ps2. and finding pirated discs for it was a bitch. truth be told during the entire time i played console games i've never had any genuine games, they're all copies made by some unknown syndicates. the only genuine game i ever had was those that came with the console.

mrsp in the US means shit in shitholes and places without official distributors. you must've live a much sheltered life.

Idk about the price of the system itself but it could just run burnt CDs. Mongolios must not be good at piracy due to being landlocked.

??? And the weaker PS2 isn't? The GameCube had categorically superior hardware.

in order to make copies you must first have the originals. - j.b.peterson.

idk, what are the hits that were available exclusively on GC that you wish were also available on ps2 ?

    cant think of any.

its their generic approach to hardware that also lead to their generic approach to software and so in the end it all lead their superior hardware into just another generic console.

Lol Vinny I remember the pirates games by the way. I remember the original Xbox games always had branding like XBOSS and XGAME on the spine of the box.
