   Bought a flat panel 4G antenna tuned to 1800-2100Mhz.
   
   Long story short, it's a disappointment. It increases speeds marginally. I have found that the mast is at a different position to what I expected (I haven't looked it up on any map, just from positioning the antenna.)
   
   Best speeds are achieved using "Mix" mode on the B525, so one antenna feed is using the router's internal antenna, one is using the external antenna.
   
   I am using a cardboard box to hold the antenna in position.
   
   I wonder if speeds could be increased by mounting the antenna outside, or using a shorter lead/feed line, but those experiments will have to wait.
   
   
   
   Apparently Band 1 is only licenced to be used for 4G temporarily, as a Corona virus measure. So it will be back to 3G eventually, though that will likely never happen.

   I dunno. Isn't there a lot of attenuation in coax at higher frequencies?
   
   Maybe I'd be better off dispensing with the two 3 or 4 metre coax cables the antenna came with and just hooking the router up to the back of the antenna in my attic.
   
   For that I need an adapter, I dunno what exact one though.
