Been thinking about it long time now.

The only problem with upgrading the graphics card is that I don't kow how to enhancement the results to determin what will fit in my box.
I know its a small form factor and that the power can only be 35w for the gpu as its a dell...

So I just wanna go cheap and get a sff graphics card for it.

but what is a pci slot 1 two or thre3??

    I located the pci slot.

Do I have to take my Dell integrated hd graphics out?

Can I get 16 gb of ram? I only have 8gb.

Do I need the exact same ram sticks?
Can I just get 2 cheap 8gb sticks??

    What kind do I need?

If you guys can help me answer these questions I will start looking on ebay.

Also u can put whetever the fuck GPU u want in there as long as ur PSU can handle it. even if it cant, just slap a new one in there.

A graphics card uses the same amount of connectionson the motherboard. Its just a lil silicon chip than slides i to the thing on the mobo. Only deal is some graphics cards (most decent ones) are listed as dual slot bc they take up two spots in the back of the pc. If you take pics of all the i side n outside i can help u better.

You should honestly just save up $400 to start up a new computer that wont be doodoo. AMD onboard graphics will prollybe better than whatever sff graphics card ypu buy to couple with a 10 year old cpu.

    1. You'd have to check the details of the motherboard. Usually there's one high-speed PCIe connector (which you want to put your GPU in) and low-speed ones for peripherals like network/sound cards and shit.

    2. 'Integrated' graphics are integrated into the CPU, there's no PCIe card.

    3. First find out whether you're using a 32 or 64bit version of Windows. If it's 32, don't bother because you can't use more than 4GB. If it's 64 you need to find out what sort of RAM your computer can use - DDR3 or DDR4. You'll probably want to check the motherboard details again.

I think I will just save my money for a gaming system.

yeah most of those 'corporate workstations' are fairly limited as to how far you can upgrade them anyway. you can probably build yourself a decent gayming computer for like $500-600

The CPU has vega 8 graphics so you could squeak by without a graphics card for a couple weeks if u needed to, seems like all u olay is rrunescape anyway.

I dont need a power supply as I am pretty sure I can find old ones in dumpsters.
As for a case I can just use a file cabinet.

Dont use an old shitty one. You can use an oldER one if its still in decent condition and of appropriate wattage, but dont go for the $15 chinese made generic bullshit.

Also look for free shit on craigslist/letgo. The case/power supply you can probably find for cheap or free. Graphics card- especially older ones- can be got for pretty decent $ as long as they werent used for mining. Personally id salvage one of my old cases, PSU, hard drive, video card and throw a cracked copy of windows on it.
