I used flash video downloader addon which worked for every site but I just updated firefox and suddenly it's incompatible. I tried 5 extensions so far and none of them work. Any recommendations?

It works great. For instance if you input a pornhub profile it'll go through it and download each video in order.

you can potentially run it on a phone but you'd need to use a terminal app to do so

The site im downloading from is a course site that requires a login. Thats why i'd prefer an addon instead of a standalone program. I tried using --cookies option but it returned errors.

And they dont work, I had to install 3 different ones just to download from youtube alone, and these were popular ones, top 10. Fuck it, im just gonna downgrade my firefox and use the old plugin that actually worked.

This. But what i want to know is if you literally only now just upgraded to Firefox Quantum. Because i remember most addons being incompatible on release. And it took a little while for the addon devs to cope with the new implementation. Don't get me wrong, i love addon devs, they make my life easy. It's great. But adjusting to the new normal took a month at least.

Now all addons are working perfectly like before. Well the ones i use and know of, but i assume that is representative of the ecosystem.

I guess you could run Firefox-ESR, if you hate Quantum, but i tend to consider it for special use cases only, personally.

No, I upgraded a month ago, I had no idea I would lose FVD if I did. You say all your extensions worked again after a month but that is not my experience at all. Every single video downloader extension I just tried is absolute garbage, confusing, very user unfriendly or outright doesnt work.

It wouldnt let me open my profile after I downgraded so I had to reverse course. The latest firefox ESR is 68 so that apparently is also too big of a downgrade for it to let my open my profile. After I upgraded again, FVD is no longer just disabled, it's now completely gone. Great.

DownThemAll, no longer functions. Chatzilla, no replacement for it. FVD, no replacement for it. So from what I see, there's no use for extensions anymore. Mozilla effectively trashed all the ones I frequently use. Time to find a fucking standalone program. Any suggestions?
