    You're not supposed to get the deposit back. The way it works, you give proper notice, say one or two months or whatever, and then that deposit gets used on your last month's rent.

    Its a civil matter and the only way it would affect his credit is if the company took him to small claims court and won. They more than likely will not win if fona shows good documentation that piss and shit have been coming through his ceiling and nothing has been done to remedy the situation in a timely manner

    There’s different options but one option doesn’t cost a thing and you don’t have to have a minimum number of credit accounts.
