Things that we personally romanticize that probably aren't as romantic as we make them out to be

I don't know which I romanticize more: being in love or what being loved is

I'm so f_ckung bull head and aloof, I don't think I allow people to love me like I want to be loved yet I still want to be loved. And I cringe when guys profess being emotionally attached

Love is the sort of thing you have to give before you can get.

But not everyone can give it before they get it... Its physically impossible for everyone to give it, before they get it, 1st... some have to be the initial getters.

I've heard it as "you must learn to love yourself before you can fully love another"

I'm pretty good at that these days. I just think, of the guys I tend to meet, that they profess emotion too soon. Maybe its because they think it is what I want to hear ... or it could be I am cynical and just don't believe them.

You are like all women, its not just you. All women are replused by a man telling them their emotions, they are supposed to be the stronger sex and telling a woman about your emotions is weak. Its in your genetics and its natural for all women

I wouldn't say I am repulsed by it. But love doesn't happen in a matter of weeks. It takes time. You haven't even seen my crazy yet, at that point.

Even if you don't have much anecdotal experience to learn from, you're intelligent enuff to realize that pragmatically speaking, blanket generalizations don't hold water. Come on Zooks, ur better than that.👍

    It's mostly true, though.

And not much anecdotal experience to draw from?

I have literally dozens of anecdotes to draw from.

Enough anecdotes that I have actually been able to test different hypotheses.

I have found a significantly better return on my investment when I keep my feelings to myself.
