    what I mean is if there's actually a strain that's airborne, a mask will do little to nothing to stop it because the virus itself is too small to be fi'ltered like that. a mask only helps by blocking particles (like coof juice) that carry the virus

    There will never be a virus as small as an oxygen molecule lol. Corona virus is like 400 nanometers across and oxygen is about 300 picometers. For reference, nanometers is the measurement to the billionth. Picometers is to the trillionth.
    
    Coronavirus is already airborne anyway. I don't know what you mean by 'actually' because we've known for a while that it can remain in the air for about 3 hours. It's just floating around chillin in the water molecules that you exhale, which is basically like an aerosol spray.
    
    Obviously the mask doesn't stop it dead in its tracks, but it still stops enough of it for it to be effective. It's not for nothing to wear a mask.
