Nah it's just more fun than spending 22 years getting on to the horse then another 22 getting off of it, then it dying cause the ai for horses is fucked.

Can't you survive nearly any fall once you're on a horse. The horse dies though.

And monsters will kill your horse too once you're on it, so don't get too attached.

The Dragonborn is a sadistic lunatic who goes around murdering hippies and stealing their herbs.

    HTS highlight reel
There isn't an obvious level cap, but there is sort of one and also sort of not one. There's a thing to make skills "legendary" which resets/refunds all your points in that tree and resets the skill so you can keep leveling it up indefinitely (gaining skill levels translate to progressing toward your character level, so no level cap). But if you don't want to do reduce a skill you've leveled back to 0, there is a level cap (when you're 100 in every skill you can't progress the character level meter anymore). It's just not as straight forward as it is in most games where you get X amount of exp per kill/quest/whatever and the meter can only fill Y number of times before you stop gaining levels.
