it's for having kids in the context of a family and clan structure within the eternal empire. a man with a family is respected, and a strong family results in prosperity, and is the foundation of a strong nation. sex is not for pleasure or amusement.
there is hell to pay when man attempts to extract the pleasure out of sex, and divorce it from it's natural meaning and purpose. they will wonder why food has lost its taste when they are not hungry, but blame everyone but themselves when they seek sex for the sake of pleasure and wonder why it doesn't work out for them.
