this is hilarious. the complications and difficulties associated with something so ridiculously trivial and utterly insignificant in actual results…and the retards think this was a good idea.

this is why selective eugenics and mass-sterilization needs to become a societal norm again.

The radical leftist socialists give them HUGE chunks of taxpayer cash to design them that way. Has nothing to do with practicality, just greed and political power.

try using a real service manual and not the ones you pick up at walmart or the auto parts store.

i only use the ones that the manufacture maintains that i have to log onto with my registered technician ID. and alldata sometimes if it's a make i'm less familiar with, because some of my tickets are from random cars not associated with the dealership.

also, you're getting ripped off if you believe that the manufacturer gives technicians 'service manuals' on cd's. that's not how it works. you log onto the manufacturers technician website. it's slow and gay and most of the photos look like they were taken with a twenty year old nokia phone. i can't believe you spent all that money. you could have just asked someone like me to print something off of alldata for you. the dealership pays for my subscription. and it'd be a lot more up to date than whatever haynes you paid for or whatever.

besides, up to date access to TSB's are going to be the most important resource for you. and you have to have technician credentials to access those.

ducati, on the other hand, is a riproaring shitshow and im getting thoroughly disgusted with how their policies and pricing applies to their bikes and their maintenance. and their shit-tier manufacturing/design at how often they want to do recalls for retard-tier fuckups. (their earlier bikes would literally catch fire)

yes you're a retard and your ex left you for a fatter dong

Also funny as shit are Tesla owners in the middle of winter running without heat in order to push their mileage.

All this green tech is bullshit. Design features that would let your car run to a million miles without requiring major maintenance would put all these other green initiatives to shame.

1- to save about 25-cents worth of gas through the life of the starter the vehicle owner is going to have to purchase multiple new starters throughout the life of the vehicle. go call the dealership and ask how much it will be to replace the starter

2- to save three or four ounces of gasoline over the life of the starter there will be several pounds of assorted metals and plastics that cant be readily 'recycled' when the starter fails. modern starters are not wound the same way as older ones that make rebuilding them as cost effective.

3- this isnt even getting into the assorted ancillary issues that will present themselves during the excessive stresses on other systems caused by the exponential increase in duty requirements of the starter. one example is the electrical system over all. smaller gauge wiring in modern vehicles powering the starter is grossly inadequate to provide its actual power needs…which will result is various voltage drops causing issues with the complex, sensitive, and wholly inadequately insulated electronics. god forbid the voltage drop fries an external electronic device attached to the in-vehicle electrical system. (phone being charged…assorted cameras…OBDII devices (monitors…programmers)…GPS monitors of assorted types…etc etc, ad nauseum)

4- this is boring now. in summary…bad idea thought up by retards.

i've serviced hundreds of starters. usually all thats wrong with themmwhen they fucked up are bearings and brushes, sometimes its the solenoids but mostly just the bearing and their carbon brushes, which are easy to replace.

an engime isnt a neclear reactor, the momemt you shut it down is the moment combustions (not nuclear reactions) stop inside them and therefore, is the moment they cool down.

    - in a stopped engine the lubricating oil has fallen back into the oil pan…or at the very least started dribbling back down towards the oil pan and ceased lubricating (and cooling) the upper parts of the engine. over heated valves really enjoy being asked to function for the seconds it takes between the time combustion stresses starts and the oil pump decides to start feeding them lube. the oil pressure sensor doesnt say jack or shit about what kind of oil circulation the valves are getting.

this isnt 1917. all modern oils are designed to leave behind a thin flim of oil behind on the metals when they settle. and a couple of minutes wont be long enough for all of them to drip back down i to the crankcase.

just pull out yoir little dipstick amd notice how long does it takes for oils on it to drip completely off and leaving it dry.

    hours if not days.

    you cant.

ive been working on IC ground vehicles longer than youve been alive and rebuilding engines from the bare block, bare head, and partially disassembled/reassembled manual trans probably longer than youve been alive. the only thing on a 'normal' automobile i cant strip and rebuild down to the most basic component is an auto transmission. other than a handful of manufacturer-specific specialty tools (and i even have a whole box of them) i have every tool needed to rebuild an engine. ive built a functioning steam engine from scrap metal and raw materials.

now stfu and get back to your corner where you belong

i actually meant to quote the guy you were replying to.

plastic ? was your car made in the USA ?

so when the cheap shit is made in the USA broke down its not USA thats at fault, but jéws.

point is the oil doesnt leave the metal parts in a few minutes. and crankshafts are half submerged in oil.

maybe you can argue about cams or rocker arms not gettin enough oils on startup, but not crankshafts.

and they're dropforged and tempered, they're stressed components by default.
