I want to catch squirrels and build a ship for them that powers when they run on a treadmill for acorns. but they get smarter over time and would run out of power half way out to sea. so they would probably not make it to the shores of another country in time and die of starvation out on the ocean.

I think cultures advance based on their resources. not a lot of trees to build large homes. not a lot of water in many of these country to freely get at. the congo had diamonds but they didnt understand the value of them nor the use for cutting tools.

how can you advance? the Germans had iron and one Europeans taught another to advance. gears turned into clocks and cogwheels. Electricity wasnt even properly harnest until the mid-late 1800s
