I just put on my work badge/lanyard & move in all official & stealthy no one says shit lol. It has a jazzy governmental looking seal so it dumbfounds laymen.
If I don't have my work badge, I just respond "No speak English" in Spanish if they look Spanish fluent I use Arabic, the latter tends to spook most.
i always scrutinize IDs and badges. the last time i was at walmart when i was making fun of a security guards badge that read 'loss prevention' and i said to him 'you bought that off the internet'
after some back and forth arguing the manager interceded to save him.
the reason i scrutinize IDs/badges is when i was in the military the upper-ranks would alter their IDs and use them on the sentries. one guy literally taped a picture of his dog to his ID then when the sentry let him thru he yelled at him...saying 'you think i look like a dog!!!11!!'
