If you are stressed at work you could think about approaching your supervisor and asking for additional instruction, guidance or training. -

People get random viruses and bacteria eating all sorts of organs all the time. For instance I shared a room with a fit football player who had half a lung eaten by something, and another girl who had something infect and eat a heart valve. This stuff happens all the time, you just don't hear about it unless it's Corona.
I had Epstein-Barr Virus (mononucleosis) and got Hodgkin's lymphoma as a result most likely. No one investigated too much cos no one cares, these things happen all the time.
However every little interaction corona has is international news. -

The objective of police is to do nothing. They should provide a deterrence. They have to be there for that to be possible.
For instance there are Greek cops in the street outside my hotel, and so I behave better than I would like to. That's not just imaginary, it's real.

I can agree with having a team for the non-violent calls, the ones the cops think are a waste of their time; but that’s about it.
I can also agree with making a national registry for these cops infractions, so these bad cops cannot get fired and then move on to another policing job in another state.
One other thing that may work is getting rid of “qualified immunity”. IIRC Colorado already passed this law. If the cops can be civilly prosecuted, and the money comes out of their pockets, they’ll think twice before killing of beating someone down.
But other than that, defunding cops is stoooopid, and will never happen, so this is pretty much a moot point.
