    My last car got totaled. It was a little hatchback, so fun to drive around, easy to park, etc. But it got fucked up by an SUV that rear ended me when I stopped on a giveway (yield) sign. So many tailgating SUVs where I was, on crowded roads.
    
    I took the insurance money, invested it, and started riding a bicycle to work. Great memories, much better than driving a car.

    There's a difference between fuckups like "started a solid business that didn't go well but didn't borrow lots of money" and "bankrupted myself with a loan to start a sports bar" or the more common one here "became a drug addict and went to prison".
