The Russian federation as we know it today is merely 30 years old. It inherited very little outside of military hardware from the soviet union, and was in civil war as recently as 2000, with corruption and symptoms of a failing state lasting until about 2010, only getting better recently. It is a fragment of its forer self, and has only recently began to make moves after rebuilding itself to a degree.
Again, Russia has been poorer than the west for centuries, and all you have to draw from is the past 3 decades.
Face it, there's something in the russian national character that keeps you poor. -

This is why the British war effort was so half assed. Hate to break it to you yankee doodles but you didn't win the war cause you were all brave and loved freedom and shit, you won it because half of Britain pretty much wanted you too. -

I wish we in the west would have warmer relations with them - I don't see what we gain by NATO threatening their borders. -

Russia has a lot of famous scientists, intellectuals, musicians etc. So the problem isn't cognitive ability.

It's weird how when muslims kill us, we need to practice more tolerance because not all muslims are violent etc. But when white nationalists kill muslims, we don't need to show them more tolerance.
