A lot of children raised by baby boomers got that their whole life.
Look at all these 30 something druggies on here who had middle class parents who gave them nice things and a nice home. That's not a coincidence. The boomers completely fucked with our work ethic by telling us we were just amazing all the time (except when they'd sometimes break down at random points and tell us we were all hopeless). I had to teach myself what my parents should have taught me in my 20s. -

So looking at that situation, I feel like unemployment is your biggest challenge. You solve that and you can start making a dent on savings and living situation. Get that sorted, work on the addiction - use the fuel of your next step (better job, through more education whether that's formal or informal) to give you something to make it worth it. -

To be honest I never really bothered. The following convention can be typed with the standard English betabet and is well understood by any native German speaker:
ä -> ae
ö -> oe
ü -> ue
ß -> ss
You'll see this used for URLs, or other situations where only ASCII characters are available. -
