Is that the type of registration you mean?
he was talking about being serialized.
the law in the US is that any firearm manufacturer has to serialize and keep track of the firearms they manufacture. if a normal citizen happens to decide he wants to make his own out of whatever material he has around, and he is legally able to own a regular firearm, he can also legally manufacture his own firearm as long as it follows the laws that the other firearms manufacturers have to follow. (not full auto...not the 'wrong' barrel length...etc, etc)
the caveat being, that home-made firearm is siamese-twinned to the builder. he cant sell it or give it away without serializing it and getting a manufacturing license.
ive had multiple cops asking me questions about how they could build their own because they didnt even know that was legal.
prices on gun-parts went up lately and theyve been harder to find. now that the communist party has given the election to trump, the prices should go back down and the availability should go back up.
