according to this, hillary clinton scandal search results were fi.ltered, but they provide an alternative explanation that the algorithm automatically hides controversial opinions on people esp. if they have not been convicted of a crime. so you can take it either way that google did it on purpose, or it was just a quirk of the algorithm, but either way there was a trend of this happening related to her search results -
