Did you go for the ol' blend it and boil it/strain the juice method? From what I understand it's the green parts besides from the skin that's the desirable part.
I have a friend who grew several plants and would chop and freeze off 6inch cuttings every so often until the cacti all got rot and died.
His seemed to grow pretty fast. I hesitate to put a number on it, but there was a definite difference between when it was indoors vs outside in the sun all day. I think the idea is that a happy plant will grow faster, while a stressed plant spends more energy on producing mescaline. No sense growing when conditions aren't good. I imagine this effect is less so with smaller cacti like peyote, which don't grow anywhere near as fast. I'm really not sure what is an ideal growth rate for san pedro but it can grow over a foot per year in 'good conditions'.
I only tried it once and we cut off the skin and blended it, then strained. Tasted ok, not as bad as I thought but I have a strong stomach for these things. I think it had far too much sunlight (was outside in CA sun for years) because everyone drank about a foot worth and it was a very light trip. Not very visual but still fun as hell. Spent the whole night stargazing and collecting firewood with a headlamp. Some people trip quite hard off of a foot tho.
I wish we had weighed it. Obviously circumference needs to be taken into account, but almost all reports i read online only mention length, and it makes it difficult to gauge your dose. Which, I really don't like doing with psychedelics.
I have experience with Escaline as well so I knew the general sort of feel to expect. Mescaline is really the only psychedelic i have any interest in exploring anymore. There's something about that universal wonder comforting feeling that makes it special compared to other psychs.

I am planning to build a house out of skids/pallets since I seen some people who've done it before. I'm also considering other ideas. I also am getting some solar panels and batteries. I just want to be able to charge my phone/laptop, use some LED lights, and run a small fan/maybe in the winter a small space heater, although heat could be generated through other means, if it won't support that.
Anyone done something similar? Any ideas I could add to or modify? Any thoughts? I'd love some input to this project.
I have seen your craftsmanship in that dilapidated FL trailer you and your father "fixed up". You don't have the skills for this, and even if you did it would get torn down the minute police or another homeless person decides to fuck with you. Or, you know, a slight gust of wind.
You should get a netted hammock and a tarp instead. It will protect you from the bugs and rain while still being portable enough for you to hobble around. Or just buy a fucking tent like a normal homeless person. I mean, it's neat and all that you want to play house but let's get real here. Fucking solar panels? All you need is a solar powered charger. Stop spending money on dope and stupid shit like pallets and LED lights and start getting your shit together. Don't 'dig in' and plan for the winter, my fucking god. You should be trying to get out of your situation by winter. Have you just completely given up on life and trying to care for your son?
I'm usually pretty happy when I read posts about how fucked up your life has gotten, but this is really depressing. No human, not even you, should be living like this. This shack is just going to fall apart and possibly hurt you even more in the process. If you want to grow its advised you stress out the plant. Cold/dark/not a lot of water will cause it to produce more mescaline as defense mechanism. The same is true for many plants with desirable defense/propagation mechanisms such as hot peppers or apple trees, where the early years of stress cause it to produce bigger and sweeter/spicier fruits. This is the same reason people prune.
A lot of people fuck up their san pedro by trying to make it happy with water/sun but you need a stressed plant if you want the highest amount of mescaline.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Exactly lol. If anything, this country belongs more to Mexicans than any person of European descent. At least MY ancestors came from the same continent. Not saying that it does belong more to Mexicans or anything, just pointing out how little this kind of shit makes sense. That whole "send her back" thing was absolutely disgusting, with people chanting and whatnot. That was COMPLETELY Nazi Germany-esque. Ilhan Omar has literally done more for this country and been here longer than Trump's immigrant wife who got citizenship on a fucking green card marriage.
Something similar happened to John McCain when he was running against Obama. I think they called him a Muslim or some shit, but he shut it right the fuck down and defended Obama as a good family man. It speaks a lot for his character. This whole thing goes so far beyond the political dichotomy in this country. I absolutely hate that people like Trump and his base try to spin this as a political thing when the racism is so blatant.
Regardless, I have high hopes for this country. I don't think we are as racist as our president, for the most part. Only 26% of the voting age population actually voted for Trump. How many of those do you think were just hard party liners? Quite a bit, I think. It has long been known that this country is far more liberal than the people who lead it. That is why Republicans depend on the electoral college to win elections, and thus refuse to abolish it, and even enact policies to suppress democratic voters from voting. Such as that voter ID law that was ruled unconstitutional in Texas a few years ago.
Only country in the world that has an electoral college, btw. Every other democratic country, EVERY SINGLE ONE, runs on a direct democracy to elect its representatives. The situation in this country is such a multi-faceted mess that seems impossible to fix. I often switch between this feeling of hopelessness and downright anger. There's really nothing we can do to fix it other than support and vote for anti-establishment politicians who HOPEFULLY will fix at least some of the plaguing issues that are stopping America from actually being 'great again.'The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!
