Laplace and John Michell etc proposed the idea of dark stars way back as the 18th century, stars that would trap light and become invisible to the rest of the universe.
Hubble only published his work about other galaxies existing in 1930 so as far as the scientifically-cutting-edge Nazi was concerned, they should have been aware everything isn't even connected to the center of our galaxy. And it was only in 33 that Lemaitre showed black holes weren't impassible barriers and could be entered at all.
However virtually nobody took actual existent black holes seriously until the Penrose singularity theorems in 1965 that proved singularities were mathematically unavoidable. Before that the general scientific consensus was that the classic "spherical dust cloud" black hole was just a mathematical oddity and IRL stuff would just circle around faster and faster until it was eventually shot out. -
