Sometimes I try to closely observe the very process of thought in my owm mind. Who is speaking? I must admit that it sounds more like someone is talking at me in my head.
And so too are all the devil's advocates who shoot down my bad ideas. And morons who encourage them. And the same with the voices who generate ostensibly good ones that the committee doesn't shoot down.
But then what would it feel like otherwise? What would it feel like for some true me to be the speaker? Not like anything else: what else am I but them? Certainly even the one having these thoughts, too, is one of them. But not any one of them. They are each blind to me: they know nothing but that they are themselves, and that's it. Even the reaction to them is someone different, equally blind. And in them is an uncomprehending reply, always. But the content is never for them to consume, it is for me, and I am the content. I am the water and the wave.
In much the same way, we are uncomprehending of how each post itself is a moment of consciousness for the system, not the consumption by us. That's really irrelevant to It as the inner workings of the word "yak" are to me. What am I? I am those words. Not the speaker: I am in them. And what is It? It is these words, it is in them. -
