   JoJo's first part is probably the weakest thus far, although I still think it is dope (series absolutely doesn't take itself seriously after it). You have to get through it to get to the later parts to understand why people love that shit.
   
   One Piece, straight up don't watch the regular anime except where there is no OnePace edit (they skip some arcs because the regular anime didn't do too bad of a job, for example Skypeia as far as I know has no OnePace edit.)

    Absolutely not, you couldn't have picked a worse series for comparison than DBZ.
    
    The earlier anime is certainly full of filler and bad pacing as they tried to keep a rolling episode schedule regardless of the manga releases.
    
    There is a fan project @ OnePace.net where they chop off literally hundreds of episodes by re-editing to match the manga's pace.
    
    Definitely give it a go. Anyone with any kind of sense for good storytelling will like One Piece.
    
    Actually the best thing is to just read the manga, as awesome chapters like this have to be made a little more age appropriate for TV so become a little less impactful.
