Another "trick" was to go to CiCi's pizza buffet which was $2.99 at the time and wrap a dozen slices up in the napkins and exwife #1 would stash em in her handbag…then we'd live on that for a while.

That's pretty reasonable.
I indulge in delivery food pretty regularly, maybe a couple times a month. Sometimes I'll have fried chicken or something. But most of the time it's not fast food, it's more like actual restaurant food. -

This is the first time I've eaten McD's specifically in months, maybe over a year. Nothing wrong with it if you're healthy and don't eat it regularly like a fatty. It's just not nutritionally very wholesome. Just get smaller sizes on sides, which is where the real dangers are. Fries are bullshit, but they taste good. Gets small one. Soda is tasty from a fountain. Get a small one. Don't eat like a fat girl and don't be afraid of eating junk food once in a while. It's tasty and that is the reason why people like it.
The chicken McNuggets are still excellent like I remembered them. Arrived warm and crispy, with tender and juicy chicken inside. Went well with Tangy Honey Mustard, Sweet And Sour, and BBQ dipping sauces.
I also ate a Filet O Fish, with extra tartar sauce, pickles, tomato, American cheese, ketchup and mustard on it. The steamed bun was very well done, fluffy with a light crispness to it, not chewy and unpleasantly bulky in the mouth. Most importantly the filet was delicious. Very crispy, even with the toppings, and flaky and light but with a nice meaty bite to it, not oily or greasy at all. Well salted and tasted lovely.
I also drank a small Coca Cola with no ice, which tasted delicious as well.
All in all a satisfying lunch. But I do think I'll just eat a salad for dinner, just to get some actual nutrients in me.

Actually they very well might. One very interesting method is to drill a core of glacial ice, a very deep drill. These glacial deposits were created over many years of snowfall, with air from the upper atmosphere trapped inside the frozen water. Based on the interaction of this air with the temperature on the ocean and forming glacier, it has varying patterns of crystal formation. You can differentiate their cooling gradients and make some reasonably accurate estimates, and test the air itself for chemical composition to exactly determine CO2 levels etc. The deeper you go, the older the ice gets and this can also be deduced to a pretty high degree of accuracy.
There is an extreme amount of rigor in climate science. Nobody should doubt climate science. It is legitimately insanely impressive the degree to which we can study the history of our planet by the impact of the weather, there is geological and meteorological history imprinted upon the natural landscapes of our world even now. -
