Much of the purpose of the 'Space Force' is to put weapons like missile and anti-missile platforms in orbit to support the standard military, meaning little will change about how the the US 'interacts' with the rest of the world. In fact I'd say the primary driver to create the 'Space Force' is to find a way to defend US satellites - more than 10 countries now have effective ASAT weapons meaning that in the next war (that the US inevitably starts), it's entirely possible their navigation, guidance and communications systems would be wholesale inoperable out of the gate.

They're symbiotic. There's a revolving door between the Pentagon and the major defence contractors which has created a system where individuals are personally rewarded for funneling obscene amounts of tax money to private companies. The system is corrupt by design and you cannot separate the two.
