Quite a few years ago I was at the immigration office in the line waiting to be fingerprinted with 200 hispanic folk...It comes to my turn and the guy looks up at me and says "oh! where are you from".."England" says I...he looks at the line and says loudly "That's what we need more of here!"...surprisingly racist I thought for an officer/agent at the immigration office...but thoroughly understandable of course..he even dabbed my fingers clean after he'd finished with the alcohol wipe whereas everyone else he just gave the wipe too.
