Asked about photos on social media showing her with a stylist, Lightfoot acknowledged getting a haircut, then said the public cares more about other issues.

A reporter asked the mayor about one of her “stay home, save lives” public service announcements where Lightfoot admonishes an off-screen person by saying, 'Getting your roots done is not essential.'

Asked about that, a visibly annoyed Lightfoot said, 'I’m the public face of this city. I’m on national media and I’m out in the public eye.'

'I’m a person who, I take my personal hygiene very seriously. As I said, I felt like I needed to have a haircut,' Lightfoot said. 'I’m not able to do that myself, so I got a haircut. You want to talk more about that?'

Politicians are having their hair cut while the rest of us are slowly turning into bigfoot.

Milk is also a pain to get rid of. You can't just tip it out into a river. Sometimes they spray it on land, but it doesn't do the land any favours and makes everything smell like gone off milk for a while after.

I'm pretty sure you can still sell milk - there is more to this story than they are letting on. Here a lot gets turned into powder for export to England or China, where it is used for food production.

This seems like a good idea and I don't see why anyone would be opposed.

LGBTQQIPP2SAA stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer, intersex, pansexual, plural, two-spirit (2S), androgynous and asexual by the way.

Yeah I think cats are lactose intolerant, so if you are giving them milk it has to be goats milk.

I don't think they like soy milk.

Discrimination in hiring is illegal, so it kinda made sense.

If you are hiring though, it makes sense to go for young white males from just about every perspective. No maternity, no chip-on-the-shoulder, and they have to work harder as they have more to prove than other demographics.

I don't understand the "doesnt even know tech" remark. What tech skills do you have?

Yes, we need to replace engineering maths with simple guesswork and trial and error again, it's much more interesting.

I remember once getting a whole lecture about how we had to be careful of AI cos an Amazon recruitment bot had learned, all by itself, to favour white males using things like membership in things like polo clubs as a heuristic. Apparently they simply performed better in work according to all the key metrics.

Of course the fact that the machine was simply logical didn't matter - dat be racist and sexist was all that mattered, and Amazon agreed and shut the bot down.
