they tried so by putting him in the back of their cruiser but that obviously didn't work out so how else were they suppose to restrain a 6ft-something muscular black guy schizing out from meth psychosis?
the only thing i saw wrong was derek should've checked on him sooner and the EMT sure seemed to take their sweet time trying to save him.
i got my cousin, who knows how to properly apply that restraint, to use it on me like 7 months ago and it hurts like hell trying to break free from it -- which is obviously the point -- but i sure was able to breathe.

you need something to visually or psychically [aka an ass-kicking aka tough-love] to traumatize you so that you will have to be forced to get your shit together otherwise the machine will eat you up and when it does it'll be very hard to escape from it spitting you out.
and if it does, as i've seen it dozens of times to old friends that decided to not get their shit together when they were young and now most of are dead or in their 30s stuck on disability/government cheese and flat out hating life living paycheck-to-check from shitty part-time minimum wage jobs worrying how to survive and not being able to buy whatever toys that makes 'em happy.
