I pulled a Malice today. I went to the disability office at my college orientation session and was straight up fucking honest with the stroke lady and told her I just want like 10 minutes to be able to go out of the classroom when my head hurts to get my bearings back. She suggested that I let her put in a request for me to reschedule my exams at times where my head is acting up because it is very random. I agreed and was grateful.
She acted like I was being very conservative with my requests, and asked if I wanted extra time for exams, but I declined.
She seemed very appreciative that I wasn't trying to game the system very much like I could have let her. She would have let me like, skip days or delay assignments whenever I wanted to, but I just told her straight up what's going on and what I think is a reasonable accommodation.
Living in a liberal city really is the best way to live.
