Not to mention that even on immigration, few actually wanted the wall itself. Even republicans aren't retarded enough to believe it would be an effective strategy or useful project.
If anything, I'd expect the country to be angrier that we are even negotiating over this fucking retarded farce. The economy will have taken a $4.2b hit by tomorrow and as far as the wall itself, you might as well dig a big hole and put $6b in it.
It is an economically retarded investment that doesn't actually address any immigration issues, which are vastly overblown based on information contrary to any mainstream economist or social scientist.
It is just indicative of the amount right wingers are afraid of brown people, that this is even an issue right now. After this shutdown, we'll come out the other end with a shitty fence, $6b poorer and with 800K federal workers behind in their finances, who had to struggle for weeks without pay or work. -
