  5. Trump calls on FBI to return 'executive' and 'privileged' documents seized by FBI from Mar-a-Lago search 😂😂😂

Trump sues US government over FBI search of Mar-a-Lago 😂🤣🤣

The Justice Department tried a series of lesser means, including subpoenas and in-person meetings in the hope of avoiding this step. When Team Trump refused to cooperate, the FBI went to court, obtained a search warrant, and executed it in the least aggressive way possible: The bureau sent plain-clothed agents who coordinated in advance with the Secret Service.
The former president keeps calling it an illegal “break-in” and “raid,” hoping that the public will imagine swarms of agents in tactical gear, pointing assault weapons at scared Mar-a-Lago customers. That’s plainly absurd.
Perhaps most entertaining was an accompanying written statement from Trump, which read in part, “This Mar-a-Lago Break-In, Search, and Seizure was illegal and unconstitutional, and we are taking all actions necessary to get the documents back, which we would have given to them without the necessity of the despicable raid of my home, so that I can give them to the National Archives until they are required for the future Donald J. Trump Presidential Library and Museum.”

    LMFAO

  6. Calls for transparency that don’t show up in court
Trump, who has loudly insisted that DOJ release the unredacted affidavit underlying the search warrant executed at Mar-a-Lago. Several media organizations and conservative Judicial Watch filed motions with a federal magistrate judge to do just that.

But Trump never authorized his legal team to make that formal request.

His demand for the release of the affidavit was itself a shift. He and his team initially resisted public release of the search warrant itself, which they had access to on Aug. 8. Only after Attorney General Merrick Garland took the unusual step of moving to release the warrant did Trump start calling for transparency.

Trump is screwed and he has to know this.
Trump's FBI Director obtained a search warrant to recover classified materials from Mar-a-Lago.
-The FBI executed a court-approved search warrant at former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on August 8, 2022.
The law enforcement raid was ordered by Trump-appointed FBI Director Christopher Wray with a warrant granted by Judge Bruce Reinhardt, Magistrate Judge of the Southern District of Florida. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced he personally approved the search after establishing probable cause.

The warrant has been made public.

    Drain the MAGA swamp.

Trump is a 76-year-old man, not a child, and he is responsible for his own actions and choices. Trump can't hide, but he can cry.

Here’s your problem. You harp on the jedis day and night, but the majority of Americans don’t give two fucks. We know money makes the world go round, but we don’t care what TF their religious beliefs are. This is America, most of us embrace cultural diversity; it’s what our country was founded on. These jedi haters are a slim minority.

the US has become a country of the rich, by the rich and for the rich, with no political responsibility for anyone or anything that doesn’t further the interests of the wealthy.
The resulting social divisions have led to an epidemic of deaths of despair (including drug overdoses and suicides), declining life expectancy (even before COVID-19) and rising rates of depression, especially among young people. Politically, these derangements have led in varied directions — most ominously to Trump, who offered faux populism and a cult of personality. Serving the rich while distracting the poor with xenophobia, culture wars and a strongman’s pose may be the oldest trick in the demagogue’s playbook, but it still plays surprisingly well. America’s turmoil has disturbing international implications. The US cannot lead global reforms when it cannot even govern itself coherently.

America faces possible disaster unless the political system can detach itself from the massive corruption of corporate lobbying and campaign financing. All these factors are at play in America’s tumultuous politics. Yet, in my view, the deepest crisis is political — the failure of America’s political institutions to “promote the general welfare,” as the US Constitution promises. Over the past four decades, American politics has become an insider’s game to favor the super-rich and corporate lobbies at the expense of the overwhelming majority of citizens.

The main battlefield is in Washington. The shock troops are the corporate lobbyists who swarm the US Congress, federal departments and administrative agencies. The ammunition is the billions of dollars spent annually on federal lobbying (an estimated $3.5 billion in 2020) and campaign contributions (an estimated $14.4 billion in the 2020 federal elections). The pro-class war propagandists are the corporate media.

Nearly 2,500 years ago, Aristotle observed that good government can turn into bad government through a flawed constitutional order. Republics, governed by the rule of law, can descend into populist mob rule or oligarchic rule by a small and corrupt class or a tyranny of personal, one-man rule. America faces such possible disasters unless the political system can detach itself from the massive corruption of corporate lobbying and campaign financing by the rich.

Musk and his “entrepreneurial”, “larger-than-life” persona is just that —a persona.

Musk is far from self-made. He was born in South Africa to an extremely wealthy white family that profited off the exploitation of workers in sub-Saharan Africa and apartheid-era South Africa. Much of his family’s wealth came from an emerald mine in Zambia owned by Errol Musk, Elon’s father. The African mining industry is known to be incredibly exploitative, with child labor, horrible working conditions, disease, abuse of workers, and fatalities all commonplace. The workers in these mines are mostly black native residents of African countries, while the owners are usually the descendants of rich, white colonists. Musk is not a “self-made billionaire,” he comes from an extremely privileged family that squeezed millions of dollars out of some of the poorest nations in the world.

With a rich family to borrow money from, and massive amounts of wealth gained from the exploitation of African mineral resources, Musk could finally purchase Tesla. Yes, you read that correctly. While it is commonly believed that Musk founded Tesla, this is untrue, and another reminder of the power of PR. Musk invested millions of dollars in Tesla in the early 2000s and paid his way up the corporate ladder, becoming the company’s CEO in 2008. He eventually fought one of the company’s true founders, Martin Eberhard, for the title in a 2009 court case. If at first, you don’t succeed, complain and sue until you do!

This is not an isolated example, either. He also claims to be the founder of PayPal, when in fact he owned another company that purchased Paypal. Again, Musk fought for the title of founder, which he won with the help of his family’s wealth. Founding a company, especially companies like PayPal and Tesla, carries lots of prestige considering the hard work that it involves. But why work hard when you’re born rich?
