It's just a nuclear plant, you have to knock out a bunch of stuff to make them explode. It's not a big deal.
Ukrainian official propaganda is just wild. I get these emails from Visit Ukraine, before you had to go there to buy mandatory health insurance due to covid. Now I doubt they'd sell you health insurance.
As far as I can see most of the fighting happened in the parking lot and the admin building.

The big problem I have is that people assume anything is going to be done. We're getting past 100 million barrels a day of just oil consumption - all times high.
The world is fucked, and post-Christian climate-guilt and Greta worship only succeeds in being annoying.
OTOH my oil company shares are doing great, and they're still great value, as they price oil at $60 a barrel, instead of the $120 that is more realistic.
If we're going to be destroying the world anyway, may as well make some money at it.

I've seen some pics of putin during/after pandemic and the tables are comically long. Putin sees a kindred spirit in kadyrov and you can tell there is alot of mutual respect.
To go from Somalia type situation to what Chechnya is now in one generation is pretty remarkable though. Always wanted to go there, I don't think I'll have a chance to go to Afghanistan anytime soon so Chechnya is the closest to it I think I'll get. Going to call about getting a passport soon
I'd love to visit too. Maybe we could do a road trip there some day, fly in somewhere like Sochi, get a car and drive around. It's supposed to be very doable, not even that dangerous. You just need to be willing to go do it, and deal with massive long drives.

That's the panel Putin uses to control his shills. Whenever he presses the button on the right, Aldra posts, and the strength of his shilling is set with the knob on the left.

The world's largest plane was a one-off Soviet transport. It was based in the airfield North West of Kiev that the Russians took early on, and it was destroyed during the fighting (I don't know why). It's a shame. Apparently it was in demand for special loads, some things too heavy to be quickly transported any other way, especially oil and gas and other energy related equipment. I also hope the various military and aircraft museums in Ukraine haven't been damaged. I wonder if they're getting some of the old tanks and other kit there back into service.

Wikipedias reporting of this shit is plain wacky.
