'The establishment' is the group of people where wealth and power is currently, and has been for a long time, concentrated. We're talking about the Military-Industrial Complex, core financial institutions, the israel lobby, the political class proper and I guess more recently, 'Big Tech'. The people who hold the reigns and don't want to let go.
