Problem setting up ISS
No problem, ask away. The setup can be a bit daunting, and it's only minimally documented so that's not really a clueless question.
So when you run the `gulp generate` command to produce the frontend resources which live in `ISS/static` from the sources in `ISS/static-src` you can pass it the `--optimize` flag and that will spit out minified and combined JS and CSS and associated sourcemaps instead of the split async-loaded ones.
I do recommend doing development with that turned off since it increases the recompile time significantly, but you definitely want the minified files for deployment.

So, in the interest of trying to boost my productivity, I decided to take a bunch of illicit crystal methamphetamines this morning.
This may sound counter-intuitive, but my ultimate goal, was to find just the right balance of neurotransmitters to enable focused cognitive processing.
You see, my academic background is in psychology. I have a bachelor's degree in the subject, and I volunteered in a lab, and started an honors thesis, etc. All of this was focused around cognition.
Now, I am a (self-taught) software developer.
I want to apply what I learned about cognition to being a more productive software developer.
So I am making this thread to document some of my findings thus far.
I have experimented with many different nootropics (noopepts, racetams, stimulants, eugeroics (such as modafinil), as well as microdosing hallucinogens to enhance creativity).
I plan to also try rTMS (Repetetive Trans-Cranial Stimulation) and/or tDCS (Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation) soon. I bought a tDCS device recently and am building myself up to using it.
I also use various behavioral techniques to enhance focus, such as implementing Kanban (a task management methodology common in software development), and timeboxing / using the Pomodoro technique (where you set aside a precise amount of time to work on a task, and then when that timer runs out, you stop).
Basically, I plan on trying everything that I can to improve my overall productivity.
The title of this thread is named as such because it refers to the phenomenon wherein you achieve that perfect balance between emotional arousal and performance.
There will be more to come, but I wanted to get everybody ready for some truly mind-expanding experiments that I will be performing.

P.S.: One other big thing I learned from psychology is that the "glass half empty" types are generally less successful in life due to the self-fulfilling prophecy phenomenon.

Christ, reading back through those makes me thankful so much that Lanny took the reigns and did what he did. Zoklet was a fucking crybaby fest from the top, down. Everyone whined and cried and bitched and moaned, from Admins to mods to users. It was horrible. Thank you Lanny.

amazon started a bidding war among cities and states over where they were going to build their new headquarters, eventually settling on Arlington and Long Island. Both offered around $1.5 billion in tax cuts, employment incentives, free property etc.
special mention to Chicago for offering to allow Amazon to keep it's employees income tax instead of paying it to the state.
how is this legal? it's literally the epitome of unfair advantage afforded to a company by the state.

I'd reccomend 1/2mg of kpin for every 20mg of methylphenidate. Snorting them togetherver gives the most pleasent calm energy. Be careful though because while you may be taking stims with the kpins it will still cause amnesia if you take enough. It's like coke light with a calm undertone. 10/10. Now actuallu using coke instead of methylphenidate is better still. What i like to do is crush a few kpins and mix the powder with the coke so it hits you around the same time and every line of coke you have contains x amounts of kpins which makes dosing balanced in just the right way if you doit right. You coud even calculate mg/mg consumption.
Say you have 1g of coke and 5x 2mg kpins, cruh em and add em, now every 100mg og coke contains 1mg kpins, if you do lined of 50mg you'd be taking 50mg coke and 0.5 kpins. It takes the edge off and generally makes the experience more pleasurable.
