Nah but seriously though lanny is pretty correct I am learning solo game dev and have been for years and I work with engines all the time and it's a mountain of work. I think anyone could make some shovelware shit game but actually making something good is hard.
Even making clone games or fan games or recreations of something simple in a minecraft mod is a lot of work. I mess around with lots of stuff and engines like renpy or pygame and I want to use godot because I think it will work well for an idea I have
AND THE TOTAL WAR REAL TIME WAR MARKET the way I see it, that entire series is just final fantasy but 3D and for computers which okay that's not easy but it's not like world of warcraft.
I also have a bunch of code for BBS games which are somewhat easy to mod but also hard because it's written in TURBO PASCAL and has wonky formatting but some of the code is easy to translate into stuff like javascript
