    Quantitative easing - Wikipedia
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantitative_easing

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the quantitative easing policies undertaken by the central banks of the major developed countries since the beginning of the late-2000s financial crisis have contributed to the reduction in systemic risks following the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers. The IMF states that the policies also contributed to the improvements in market confidence and the bottoming-out of the recession in the G7 economies in the second half of 2009.

    QE doesnt fix things.

its a method of kicking cans down the line, sweeping all of it under the carpet, tuck it under the cushions etc etc.

  3. PART VI : GLOBAL WARMING + SOLAR (SUN) MINIMUM = CLIMATE UNCHANGE

SCIENTISTS : WHILE SUCKING EACH OTHER OFF FURIOUSLY WHILE BEING PEER REVIEWED, WE'RE BEING REMINDED OF AN OLD SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY THAT WE'VE DISCOVERED AND FORGOTTEN.

Dr. Valentina Zharkova, a professor of mathematics at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England, who also has a doctorate in astrophysics, is warning of a coming Grand Solar Minimum (GSM), similar to the Maunder Minimum that occurred from the mid-16th century until the early 17th century and coincided with a time on Earth known as the Little Ice Age.

“The Sun is approaching a hibernation period,” said Professor Zharkova. “Less sunspots will be formed on the solar surface and thus less energy and radiation will be emitted toward the planets and Earth.”

“But this is only the start of GSM,” Zharkova stressed. “there is more to come in the next 33 years.”

While solar minima are part of the natural 11-year solar cycle, scientists have observed that approximately every 400 years, the Sun enters a phase of deep and extended minima that can last for decades. There are now multiple warning signs that such an extended solar minimum is on its way.

A UC-San Diego study in late 2017 conducted by Dr. Dan Lubin, a research physicist at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, also predicted that a prolonged period of solar minima was imminent.

From the study: “Over the past decade there has been increasing realization and concern that the steady and high solar luminosity of the past century may transition to greater variability later this century. Specifically, the Sun may descend into a period of low magnetic activity analogous to the historical Maunder Minimum.”

Also, in 2018, NASA’s Langley Research Center reported that its SABER (Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry) instrument aboard its TIMED (Thermosphere, Ionosphere, Mesosphere, Energetics and Dynamics) satellite confirmed that the Earth’s thermosphere was cooling significantly, signaling solar minimum.

“The thermosphere always cools off during Solar Minimum,” said Martin Mlynczak, one of SABER’s principal investigators. “It’s one of the most important ways the solar cycle affects our planet.”

So, Zharkova isn’t out on a limb saying that the Earth can expect lower solar output for a few decades. Nevertheless, that doesn’t stop the climate-hysteric community from attacking her conclusions. Climate scientists — so called — like to dismiss the work of Zharkova and even the influence of solar activity on the climate. Media commonly dismisses warnings of a possible GSM as a “conservative myth.”

One solar scientist, Matthew Owens from the University of Reading, believes that any cooling effect of a GSM will be “vastly offset” by anthropogenic global warming: “Thus, there will probably be no detectable effect [from a GSM] on global climate.”

Zharkova, however, believes that a prolonged GSM would have profound effects on the Earth’s climate — man-made global warming or not. Not only would global temperature drop, but agricultural seasons could be shorter for several decades. “We can only hope that the mini ice age will not be as severe as it was during the Maunder minimum,” Zharkova said.

“This would dramatically effect food harvests in middle latitudes, because the vegetables and fruits will not have enough time for harvesting.”

Those shorter growing seasons could lead to famine, according to Zharkova. “So it could lead to a food deficit for people and animals, as we have seen in the past couple of years when the snow in Spain and Greece in April and May demolished the veggie fields, and the UK had a deficit of broccoli, and other fruits and veggies.”

But the warnings from Zharkova and other Sun experts that a GSM is here are being studiously ignored by the mainstream media. If mentioned at all, the warnings are ultimately poo-pooed by an army of climate hysterics who claim that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Zharkova isn’t even a climate-change skeptic. She has said in the past that any hiatus in global warming brought on by solar minimum only gives us a little more time to deal with the so-called problem of global warming.

“I hope global warming will be overridden by this effect, giving humankind and the Earth thirty years to sort out our pollution,” Zharkova said in 2017. “We have to be sorted out by that time and prepare everything on Earth for the next big solar activity.”

Still, her science must be denounced by the climate-hysteric mob because it doesn’t agree with their apocalyptic visions and their political agenda.

  6. all you need to do is to look back in history.

in aviation, there were more aeroplane manufacturers back in the 50s and 60s than there are today.

in tobbacco, there were more ciggarette companies back in the 70s than there are today.

in automobile, there were more car manufactures in the US and europe back in their heydays right after the war than there are today.

even when it comes to beers and alcohols, they're controlled by a few companies.

the pursuit of greater profits has caused companies to M&A into monopolies.

bayers had just merged with monsanto, uber has been going around buyimg its competitors, telcos would have merged into a single giant megacorporation if it wasnt for the antitrust laws breaking them apart.

in any and every industry, if companies are left to their own device without regulation monopoly ensues.

  15. Originally posted by aldra the whole argument was dumb if you look into it.

the media was claiming that people protesting in Hong Kong could be extradited to the mainland to face charges, but the text of the law explicitly stated that people could only be extradited if they had committed a crime in that country, ie. if you murder your girlfriend in Taiwan and flee to Hong Kong you can be extradited back to Taiwan… But if you murder your girlfriend in HK you're left to the HK justice system.

irregardless hongkong is chinese territory and china should be able to write any law it pleases for it just as US & UK are free to write any laws they see fit that are conducive for money laundering for virgin islands and panama.

anyway the hongkong protests were more about the rights of men to kill their whore girlfriend after being cucked and get away with it than anything else.

Around 2 am, the two got into another argument, during which Poon revealed the baby she was carrying in her womb was conceived with a former boyfriend, and showed Chan a video of her having sex with another man. Chan reacted with rage and smashed her head against the wall of the hotel room and started strangling her from behind with his hands.

he was praxtically hitchhiked into conception except it wasnt his and theres documetary proof to prove it.

imagine that happening to you. what do you tgink star trek.

china writes national security laws to extradite criminals in hong-kong, its own territory - bad.

US writes national security law to extradite foreign nationals in afghan, iraq, libya, syria, pakistan, almost the entire world to be sent to camp delta - good.
