Organized religion is bullshit and is not necessary or useful in developing a personal relationship with whatever you understand to be “God” - first of all, organized religion lacks any cogency in its appeal to others. It’s basically saying, “I know my religion has no intrinsic merits, so I must resort to force or fear tactics to scare people into behaving and conducting themselves according to my rules”.
Second, if yours is a theistic religion, it’s an admission that your deity is weak. Obviously if it had the power to compel belief, it would do so. If it had to outsource the job to you, that’s unimpressive.
Which takes us to a further point: the use of force by a believer shows that the believer understands the first two points. The believer knows they have no cogent means of persuasion and that their deity is weak or nonexistent. This insecurity compels the imposition of religion by force. They certainly don’t dare to trust in their deity to get the job done!
And of course, none of these believers think it would be right to force them into a different faith. Thus their position is hypocritical in the extreme.
In my opinion, no religion is legitimate they’re all personally created. A package-deal religion is all about someone else’s spirituality, not yours. To be genuine, it is YOUR spirituality that should lead to your personal religion, we’re all born with an innate sense of right and wrong.
Organized religions aren’t the answer.

The false self is all the things we pretend to be and think we are. It is the pride, arrogance, title, costume, role, and degree we take to be ourselves. It’s almost entirely created by our minds, our cultures, and our families. It is what’s passing and what’s going to die, and it is not who we are. For many people this is all they have—but all of it is going to die when we die. -

Organized religion exists to control the perceptions and behaviors of entire groups of people, an attempt, if you will - to control “free will”.
That said, human beings have an inherent need to know structure and be given purpose and direction. But we can access the necessary tools to achieve this through relationship with our Creator whom we can call whatever we want to, which is a completely separate experience from slavish devotion to any given religious system.
Our purity systems, even those established with the best of intentions, do not make us holy.
They only create insiders and outsiders. They are mechanisms for delivering our drug of choice: self-righteousness, these purity systems affect far more than our relationship to sex and booze: they show up in political ideology, in the way people shame each other on social media, in the way we obsess about “self-righteousness.”
Purity most often leads to either pride or to despair - not holiness.
Because holiness is about union with, and purity is about separation from…. I suspect religion was mankind's first attempt to explain the natural phenomena we observe.
Religion is a means to control the population, those that want power study the current state of society. And devise ways to leverage religious beliefs to maintain that state to hold on, and or gain more power. -

I saw a 5 ft tall faceless silhouette at the edge of my bed, he walked towards me until he enveloped the entirety of my visual field, and then my brain switched to the "next episode". He had a neck that was outstretched 2 feet and almost perpendicular to his body.
No sleep paralysis…..but lucid dreams on command. They’re definitely lit 🔥 I love dreams that I can control. -

I’ve only had one dream that I died in. I was in a bar and got shot in the stomach, it literally ripped me in two pieces and as I doubled over dead my last thought before I died was I knew my smart mouth would get me in trouble. -
