I've been using yt-dl for a few years, I know about the ins and outs and it's still shit compared to Jdownloader.
Even if you dl at the highest setting in yt-dl it still doesn't fetch as high quality of a video compared to JDownloader, plus jdownloader can download anything in bulk.
You can download all of emuparadise in one go with JD2. -

It's a commonly accepted, even among professional gamers who have all the time in the world to practice games, that reaction times increase as you age. Mind you, if you're comparing like 14 years olds with 20 year olds it's not reaction times that are making the difference in competitive play and that extra practice and general cognitive ability older players have is more important, but there's a reason pro games tend to "peak" somewhere in their 20s. Research on the subject seems to support this idea as well.
Im the normie that killed those sites?
It was people like me that built up those sites you idiot.
You are the fucking normie, you didnt even know about totse until 2008.
I was always on the vanguard of internet culutre, engaging in thinga years and decades before people like you discovered them and shitted it up -

I was posting on 4chan in 2005, totse in 2003.

2018-08-08 at 3:20 AM UTC in Helpful shit that might help you niggas. List it here.oh and she has gotten into debt so many times with falling for the jedi (((credit card))) trick
she has filed bankruptcy like ... three times?
That is something I will absolutely never do, use a goddamn credit card.
The only major thigns I need to spend money on are health related. I need to spend money on atm are my teeth (need some removed, need some braces) and every few years I have to get my ears cleaned out.
I just want to go back to being a hikikomori so that's why I think I might save up all my shekels then a decade or so later return to the hikikomori lifestyle indefinitely (I'll buy a gun as a backup plan for if I get too depressed or run out of money) -
2018-08-08 at 3:15 AM UTC in Helpful shit that might help you niggas. List it here.My mom is a goddamn fucking idiot
I just mentioned to her that she never thought to herself about what she would do for her retirement
She just worked for years as a hair stylist, making enough money to eat and live in an apartment ... but did she ever once consider what she would do when she was too old to work?
No she fucking didn't, here she is in her early 60s living out of a goddamn car and so broke she has to get free food from "food banks".
It's pathetic.
I don't want to end up that way so I'm glad I finally have a job and have considered saving up everything.
Tbh I don't know what else I would do to make money, because I hate jobs where you have to hunt for work and I dislike having to interact with people so what I currently do is perfect, the only other thing I could imagine doing to make money is selling weed.
You might tell me that once it's legal it'll be more difficult to sale, but I predict the opposite, people would rather get something quick and easy from an actual person rather than spending their money on overpriced shit from a jedi (((pharmacy))). -

The 150k will pay for food and utilities for the rest of my life
I haven't really thought this out yet.
If electric RVs become a thing I might move into one -
2018-08-08 at 2:52 AM UTC in Helpful shit that might help you niggas. List it here.I make around $15,000 a year but all of it will be going towards rent, food, anime bdrs, video games and music.
I've been contemplating maybe going back to piracy and saving all of my money up ... but I want to fulfill my childhood dream of having a huge library of stuff.
Maybe for the first two years I'll spend all of my money on physical goods then start saving up.
I could save up over 73k in five years ... or around 150k in a decade ... then I could retire and live the rest of my life comfortably in VR.
That's the plan.
Oh I'll need to buy a real doll first though -

There is no escaping their reach, we just have to get together and start killing them off one by one. -

When I was in downtown a few months ago playing Pokemon Go some extremely jedi (he must have been, no way a European could have a nose like that) looking kid stepped out of his car and in what seemed like a hurried panick, rushed over to me staring at his smartphone mumbling about Pokemon Go.
I pretended to understand what he was saying, so I just walked alongside him for a little bit.
He was all over the place like a fly, never really taking the time to absorb the moment or surroundings, just zip zap pow here then there.
At first I thought it was a jedi thing but it could definitely be brain changes from growing up with constant internet and computer use.
I grew up on the computer as well, but with smartphones the way they're set up is to present the user with a neverending stream of new stimuli and content, this could cause serious issues and it already shows with the younger generations.
I can feel it in myself too and I don't even use a smartphone anymore, maybe it's just me feeling the effects of living in a faster paced society.
Once I get moved into a place I want to start focusing on ways to slow down and reset my brain.
I cannot stand the pace of modern living, it's not that I can't keep up with it, it's just that it's stupid and unnecessary.
Do Gen Z kids ever sit on a bench and just stare?
I have a friend who has never been able to do things like that, he calls me "ate up" for talking about how I love admiring the moment or environment and appreciating the little details,
To people like him and Gen Z, a "normal" person is one who is constantly preoccupied with something. -
2018-08-07 at 11:55 PM UTC in Is it worth it to release something on cassette in this day and agelike .. if I could have had the ability to record gameplay footage to vhs without the weird quality issue I probably would have watched those tapes over and over and over again
today?
Oh I have dozens of elgato clips spanning hours each?
Meh
I never watch them and when I'm recording that way it's just for archival, I'm not doing anything like a lets play or focusing on doing interesting things for the recording
Kids these days have thousands of clips on their youtube channel, big whoop boring shit.
If they had five tapes of them playing a game back in the 90s and 00s they would have cherished them like nothing else -
2018-08-07 at 11:51 PM UTC in Is it worth it to release something on cassette in this day and ageI wish I still had the tapes I recorded of the radio from back when I was really into doing that in the early 00s
It would be so neat to hear what the alt-rock station here was like back then, to hear the types of songs I was into.
There is so much cool shit I collected/made as a kid and early teen and sadly I no longer have any of it.
The only thing I have left was a really cringey tape of me prank phone calling people, but I recorded over that last year.
I can't wait to die and reincarnate though, there is so much stuff I plan on doing, like I'm going to make wayyy more tapes, I'll never trade in my games, I'll back up photos I see on the old net and save them to cd-rs and floppies, I'll save all the cassette tapes I make and of course I'll save all the home movies I made to dvd-rs or vhs instead of recording over them.
I even had a gameplay footage of me playing GTA 3 to vhs, but back then (probably an anti-piracy measure) if you hooked a PS2 up to a vhs player the picture quality would be really awful and dark.
But maaan, those were some good times.
With the limitlessness of things today with everything being digital, nothing feels special anymore. -
2018-08-07 at 11:34 PM UTC in Is it worth it to release something on cassette in this day and age
Originally posted by HTS Sure. I record things to cassette sometimes just because there's certain sounds that seem like the musicians really wanted to be recording 30 years ago.
I would buy a cassette or vinyl release if I was into the band enough.
did you ever make mixtapes back in the day?
People would just record whatever songs they wanted to hear on theirs, but for me it was an artistic experience, I would take time to carefully select which tricks to include and would record them to the tape as a concept album.
I know I could do that with audacity (I think I have a few times before) but it just doesn't have the same feeling doing something like that with a digital file compared to a physical tape -

2018-08-07 at 11:24 PM UTC in Is it worth it to release something on cassette in this day and ageDisregard whether or not it's obsolete, there are people out there who still buy and listen to cassettes (independent musicians)
They have a unique appeal and feel.
I was thinking for full length releases I'll do CD-R and for cassette I would go for a sort of unique approach, one side could be a few songs then the other would be edits/remixes/reinterpretations or a concept release.
Does anybody here collect cassettes? -

2018-08-07 at 11:04 PM UTC in Streaming and the normieization of the internet have ruined underground cultureBefore only people who truly cared about a certain aesthetic or interest would seek it out and the culture would flourish because only people who truly cared for it were there.
Now with algorithms recommending normie plebeians anything from boku no pico to noise music, the appeal is gone and the feeling that those things belonged to you and your circle has diminished.
Is there any way to get around this in this day and age?
