   It just means it's dried properly, fresh cut wood is too wet and will build up creosote in the chimney and start a chimney fire.

   Good idea, you don't need a chimney fire. Make sure you get good seasoned wood to burn.

   Yeah lots of fields here too in fact one is right next to me. You can burn here but it has to be in an approved container open burning is illegal

    I'm gonna grill a steak later and you're right it's a beautiful fall day here
