    Suddenly my mouth went completely dry and my tongue grew thick and heavy in my throat. Dehydration! I was beginning to dehydrate. Dehydration can make a person very ill, even lead to death. I needed liquid! Moisture! Where was I going to get any thing liquid?
    
    There! A cactus. I can eat its prickly pear.
    
    Ignoring the pain of the filament, thorny hairs of the cactus I ripped the pear apart and thrust the fruit into my parched mouth.
    
    As I sucked the life giving moisture from the cactus I looked down the distance and saw that my stalker hadn't moved but waiting patiently as I refreshed my thirst.

    I have never gone into a social establishment by myself -- ever.
    
    That doesn't take into account that I do not "do" the bar scene nor have I ever been a coffee drinker -- some coffee aromas are nice but most of them make me nauseous.
    
    However, with that said, if you would like to ask me out for a casual country backroads drive with a simple picnic fare on a weather conducive day, or a quilt spread in the center of a secluded gazebo on a rainy day for good conversation, or a walk through a Civil War cemetery or museum I would be game for a face-to-face meet.
