Although, I agree with you %100 about participating in the varying processes of our government, most people have NOT been involved. Even now, how many of the posters on this site will be participating in their state primaries? I'd be surprised if somebody knew who their candidates are for the parties.
Social media does matter. If it didn't nobody in our government would have twitter accounts. Trust me, most politicians hate it with a passion... cuz many don't like technology much- except for those who have recognized how/what an effective & valuable tool it is- and use it. -
