The point I'm making is...violence shouldn't be acceptable to anyone except under extreme circumstances...such as to protect someone else or yourself from serious harm.
The focus on violence against women is biased and sexist and is simply supporting a stereotype...which again...in reality is probably wrong (re: more violence against men in a relationship than women).

Well of course there are examples of it being justified...if you came home and your wife was slicing the neck of your child for example you might want to kick her the fuck off the kid rather than saying "please leave Bethany alone darling".
But again...violence against men is much more prevalent in relationships..it's just undocumented and less spoken about. Men tend not to get so worked up about it as women do.
The stereotype of a woman hitting her husband with a frying pan is "comedic" because that's how society has programed us to view it...the opposite? is not.
