the metal 10 gallon milk jug is rusted on the outside, it was ground down to fresh metal before any attempt to stick stuff to it but nothing I have attempted has stuck or bonded to the milk jug,, I'm sorta depressed over my failure this week,, the mushroom biz is fucked up and this ha been a revamp attempt to better the grow,, the heat killed almost all the blocks in incubation,, the last batch of grain I inoculated turned green,, the grow room had to be emptied and now the blocks are out in a tarp tent ad the bugs found my mushrooms making them almost unsaleable unless picked early, july sales are down dew to low production.
new plan starts today,, waterproof floors and walls in the grow room, revamp the wood fired barrel install a better air intake to the grow room and better humidity delivery system, buy a tent for over load of blocks,, a screen tent so the bugs cant invade the crop.
start a new set of pitri dishes with a new sample of oyster mushrooms as the old culture seems to be getting old and not performing as it did in previous batches......
to my haters I have to say I still profited as my weekly cost is only 100 bucks and I still sell 200 a week.
also getting rich was not the goal,, having steady income was. and still is as I AM THE POLECAT and nothing can keep me down!
